More About Lund Humphries
Lund Humphries has been a leading publisher of illustrated art
books for over 60 years, with a particular reputation in the field
of Modern British Art. The imprint has
been part of the Ashgate Publishing Group since 1999.
The Lund Humphries list today encompasses books for art
specialists, professionals and enthusiasts across the fine and
applied arts and covering all periods. We publish a range of
different types of art book, including artist monographs, illustrated surveys, art reference books and catalogues.
Our substantial list of publications on modern and contemporary
British artists features high-quality illustrated books on Henry Moore,
Ben
Nicholson, Winifred
Nicholson, Peter Blake,
Patrick
Caulfield, Mary Fedden
and many other key names in the field, and we are always interested
in hearing from artists and their estates and representatives with
proposals for new books.
A number of our artist monographs have special editions incorporating an original
limited-edition print created specially by the artist and packaged
in a slipcase with the book.
Through our association with some of the leading printmakers,
print galleries and print historians, we have a growing list of
books in the history and practice of
printmaking.
Lund Humphries is also the leading publisher of books on British
sculpture, many of which are published in association with
The
Henry Moore Foundation.
As a pioneer of museum
co-publications in the 1980s, Lund Humphries now regularly
publishes in association with some of the major museums and
galleries worldwide, and we welcome proposals for publications
related to exhibitions or museum collections.
